About The Film

Marie returns to her wealthy employer’s home to discover David, an unknown family relation, relaxing in the living room. She herself is anything but relaxed, trapped between pressing chores and the obligation to make small talk. On David’s gentle insistence, she relents, accepts coffee, and listens to him chatter. Becoming engrossed, she leans forward and in so doing glimpses something out of place. Confused, Marie stares and sees that David has horrifying intentions.

An Affable Devil had its premiere in the official selection of the London Independent Film Festival. It was subsequently shown at the British Independent Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Short Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and The British Lion Award.
